In The Morning

Here's a peek inside a Carpenter's morning....

Jane sits in her high chair (aka The Throne) and eats...more like squishes and smashes things.
As of 3 days ago, she basically told me that she hates being spoon fed. This girl likes to take matters into her own hands.

Mr. Mike works on a preschool project of his choice. Today was a momentous day as he chose to write his name!!! This is huge, friends. HUGE! He never ever ever likes to try and write letters and has been making me a little nervous. Apparently, he can in fact write his name quite legibly...along with the rest of the family's! And it must be noted that he already knew how to spell "mom" on his own.

In the bottom right corner he even wrote his self-proclaimed nickname "bad cat". Yes, he really does like to be called that. And he is one bad cat.

So proud of my guy!

After breakfast, Jane gets cleaned up and looks cute again. And she's back at doing what she does best: Walking herself around and around the play table.

And the hair bow doesn't always last.

Question: Is there anything cuter than a ruffled sleeve against a chubby arm???

Fact: Jane really likes electronic toys. Sometimes she'll even hide when she's found the channel changer so she can play with it.

Michael takes much, much longer to get dressed. He can often be found in his underwear doing something scientific. Today was a calculator.

Question: Who wouldn't prefer Michael this way anyways?

Fact: "Anyways" is a word Michael usually starts sentences with.

Another fact: He does not like to give me cute faces for the camera....

...unless I catch him off guard.
